Consorzio Pro Loco delle Prealpi
The name of the route derives from the homonymous church, dedicated to the Holy Martyr and built on the Marcantone hill in the mid 1400s, which has since become a pilgrimage destination. From here, you can enjoy the panorama surrounding this magical place which has offered visitors over the years a stunning view of the underlying Vittorio Veneto and beyond...
Along the path, it is also very interesting to observe the cement pylons which in the past supported the cableway used to transport calcium carbonate, descending from Monte Pizzoc and the Ciser quarry, to arrive at the Italcementi cement factory in the S. Andrea area.
The path then continues to the locality of Piadera, where we find the little church of San Maman, a historic structure that gives its name to the nearby winery producing an excellent organic Prosecco (Amets).

Roadbook
This route in Vittorio Veneto starts exactly from Piazza Flaminio, in the center of Serravalle. From here we will face the "staircase" that leads us to the Santuario di S. Augusta, one of the most evocative and mystical places in the Vittoriese area. From the Sanctuary, we briefly resume the uphill path and turn towards Case Sassi. The views are exceptional and allow us to admire the evocative Costa di Fregona. Upon reaching the junction for the hamlet, we take via Vinera and descend on the north side of the vineyard to cross the rio Borghel. We will emerge in Borgo Sfadigà. From here we climb towards Piadera on a steep paved ascent. Upon arriving in Piadera, we find a crossroads: one path descends towards the Caglieron caves, another rises towards the Costa di Fregona. We follow the main road uphill to reach the “Ristorante Dal Selvaggio”, where we will make a pleasant detour, just before the restaurant, to reach the little church of San Maman. From the evocative little church, we climb along a path that after about 200 m reaches a gravel road which we will follow until we reach the paved road. Slightly uphill is the Piadera Astronomical Observatory. We will return to the crossroads and take the descending path also marked as Ippovia. We will follow it downhill along a splendid paved path that reaches Rindola. Continuing downhill we will pass beside a monumental white poplar and arrive at the little church of Madonna della Tosse, which deserves a short visit. From here we will continue to Borghel and then reach the square of S. Andrea di Bigonzio. A few hundred meters and we will return to Piazza Flaminio in Serravalle.
