The Sadnig is the highest mountain of the Sadnig group. It is located at the intersection of Großfragant, Asten, and Kolmitzen, three side valleys of the Mölltal. At the same time, it is a border point of the municipalities Flattach, Mörtschach, and Stall. A beautiful mountain route with a magnificent panoramic view at the summit.
The final scene of the film Seven Years in Tibet was shot on the Sadnig summit.

From the Sadnighaus, walk back along the access road to the first hairpin turn, then descend into the valley floor. Follow the path down to the brook and across a footbridge to the forest slope opposite (signpost). There, initially diagonally right upward through dense larch forest to a clearing. Then longer left, inward the valley, again through forest along, passing a spring until reaching pasture slopes. Soon the path winds more gently over a hilly slope and reaches a fork at Kabitzenbühel. Keeping right, continue over increasingly rocky slope steps until finally reaching the Sadnigscharte at 2484m. Now right over a short, undulating ridge to a high slope, which you first ascend on a grassy ramp on the right, then through a boulder field on the left and from there over the left flank edge to the ridge crest. Over the rocky ridge with light ups and downs, up to below the prominent summit head, which you overcome over steeper rock blocks and steps.
The return is again to the fork at Kabitzenbühel. There we turn right down to the Linderalm and after some steep switchbacks downhill arrive again at the bottom of the Asten valley. From here it is not far back to the starting point, the Sadnighaus.
