The tour starts at Bielerhöhe and initially follows a well-trodden path downhill to the Madlenerhaus. From there, the route continues on narrow mountain trails through dense fields of dwarf pines and finally leads to the impressive Ill gorge, which is crossed. At the foot of the Lobspitze, the path reaches a fork where the route continues left towards the Saarbrückner Hut. This high-altitude mountain hut offers a stunning panorama of the surrounding peaks, including the Großlitzner at 3,109 meters and the Große Seehorn at 3,121 meters. Near the hut, there is also a dedicated via ferrata on the Kleinlitzner at 2,783 meters, providing an additional challenge for experienced mountaineers.
