Historical-naturalistic route of two hours that winds through the Bandì area, inside the magnificent woods of the Municipality of Rorà.
The Bandì Ring, managed by the Municipality of Rorà and the Waldensian historical sites committee, is a route that runs through the Bandì area, above the localities Gianavella (home of Giosuè Gianavello) and Tribulèt, where Gianavello and his group had hiding places.
In 1655 Gianavello organized the Waldensian resistance against the troops of the Duke of Savoy. For his courage he was nicknamed the "Lion of Rorà". Together with his companions, who were outlawed and therefore “banditi”, they had retreated to these heights from where they made incursions into the valley.
After years of guerrilla resistance, Gianavello was forced to exile in Geneva, where he wrote "The Instructions", a manual with detailed indications for the defense of the Valleys from the Savoyard army, essential in 1689 during the Return of the Waldensian exiles.
