This hike takes us to the highest mountain on La Palma, the Roque de los Muchachos.
On this route, we hike on the northern flank of the Caldera de Taburiente and ascend to the highest point of La Palma. We continuously enjoy magnificent views of the national park and sights as far as the neighboring islands Tenerife, La Gomera, and El Hierro. Along the way on our path to the Roque de los Muchachos, we pass Fuente Nuova in a barren volcanic landscape, fascinating to see with its multicolored rock. Shortly before the summit of the highest mountain of the Canary Islands, we pass the observatories, which are also accessible by road.
