Rete di Riserve Bondone
A circular route among caves and historic fortifications, just steps from the village of Romagnano.
The proposed itinerary starts from the village center and climbs towards the mountain, partly historic due to important military works along the route, and partly naturalistic due to majestic specimens of oak (Quercus cerris - the Cerro) and cultivated fields.
Optional detour: above the village, where trail SAT 614 climbs towards Garniga Vecchia, a clearing used as parking is reached on the right; the "Giro di Margon" walk extends the route by 1.6 km and allows crossing the woods and vineyards around Villa Margon.

Roadbook
From the central square of Romagnano, the route climbs into the historic center, turns left towards the south and after the last house on the right, takes a mule track marked SAT 614, which ascends towards the mountain. Follow the SAT trail signs until reaching Dos Brun, where there are caves and military works dating back to the Great War. Shortly after, the route reaches the dirt road above the village of Romagnano, where the SAT 614 trail called “Guardadocio” climbs towards Garniga Vecchia. Now turn right to reach a clearing used as parking, from where the aforementioned "Giro di Margon" walk starts (not marked on the map). If this detour is not of interest, continue from the parking towards Maso Maset, passing at the foot of some oak trees (Quercus Cerris), one of which is very majestic, until a fork. From this point it is also possible to reach Villa Margon, a splendid example of a 16th-century noble residence, richly furnished and frescoed. Privately owned, it is open for visits on Wednesday and Saturday. Returning to the main road, at the next fork take a right, descending, passing near Forte Romagnano, now a private residence. Continue to the end of the road and take a path that runs alongside a vineyard until reaching a panoramic viewpoint located above a defensive military work. Soon after, a small road leads through fields to the starting point.
