Magnificent summit viewpoint facing the mighty three-peak constellation: Torstein – Mitterspitz – Dachstein. Start the tour at the parking lot of the state road between Filzmoos and Ramsau am Dachstein, located exactly on the border between the federal states of Salzburg and Styria. The first 3 kilometers you hike on the asphalt road closed to public traffic but accessible by taxi to Bachlalm, shortly before Bachlalm turn west onto a forest path and head straight, with Rötelstein to the left and Windlegerkar with Torstein to the right towards Sulzenhals. Once there, the gaze is drawn to the Bischofsmütze rising before the hiker, but the further path branches off south at a right angle and goes over partly loose scree and blocked sections requiring some surefootedness, up the steep north side directly to the summit area, which is easy to walk on again. With appropriate visibility, an impressive panorama spreads out before the summit climber, almost as an invitation for the next hiking days; here you can indulge and look at the next goals.
