Circular hike through the vineyard area around the "Römerstich" elevation and through the village of Auen. We start our circular hiking trail at the wading pool at the outskirts of Auen. Following the signage, we walk northwards up the asphalt path. At the first junction, we bear left and continue uphill heading west. The path runs along the forest edge to the west. We follow the signs and arrive at the rest area "Historic Vineyard Cottage". It goes downhill through the vineyard towards the village. Through the village of Auen, we reach our starting point again.

Author’s recommendation
In Auen, there are two inns with regional cuisine, Nahe wine, and guest rooms. Visiting the wading pool opposite the Willigis Chapel offers a welcome refreshment, especially on hot days.
Along the vineyard slopes of Auen, you can find several vineyard cottages that impress greatly through their dry stone construction and illustrate the work of vintners in past centuries.
