Especially in early summer, the Orchid Route shows its splendor, which is also the source of its name: numerous blooming wild orchids delight the hiker along the hollow path from Steinenfeld to the small chapel at Vohenbrunnen.
After the hike through deep green forest over the rise of Pfifferlingsberg, the sun lounger at the forest edge invites you to rest. It offers a view of the source of the Erlenbach, which springs here. From Ringingen, this stream meanders through the creek to Erbach and finally flows into the region's main body of water - the Danube.
The small water lily pond at the forest clearing a little further on is a natural monument of special beauty. In summer, a floating sea of white blossoms adorns the water surface.
