Rifugio Casera EreRoadbook
Leaving the parking lot we follow the signs to the refuge and walk the wide and easy dirt road. There are a couple of sections with a somewhat steep slope in the initial and final parts of the route but they are short and quickly overcome.
The return can be made along the ascent path or by using the trail sections that cross the road at several points and shorten the route.
If you want to extend the described route, you can start from the locality Roncoi-Roer (747 m elevation) following the dirt road; this involves an additional 180 m of elevation gain (about forty minutes). Another alternative is to start from the locality Roncoi-Staolet (777 m elevation) following the CAI 853 trail which is well marked and easily identifiable.
