Sturdy shoes, without Höll an easy route.
With the Schladming Card, you can travel free of charge on the hiking bus. Very good connection, the bus runs at least hourly.
Parking is also free with the Schladming Card.

We start our route at the parking lot in Untertal.
Over the bridge, you go a little way along the Riesach. Unfortunately, the path through the Höll was closed at the time of our visit. (Please check with the tourist office if necessary)
With a few bends, it goes up along the Riesach and over a bridge to the forest road. We follow this comfortably uphill until the lake.
Here we keep left and follow the path to Kaltenbachalm. You could continue hiking to the head of the valley.
Return the same way. There is another alpine hut directly in front of the lake, the Gföllerlam. It is busier there, not everyone hikes the additional 15 minutes to Kaltenbachalm.
