From the old Danube town of Riedlingen, the hike leads through fields and meadows to the 767 m high Bussen, also known as the "holy mountain of Upper Swabia". If you're lucky, you can see the entire Alpine chain from the top on a clear day. From there, you walk to the renaturalized Danube and along it back to Riedlingen.
We leave Riedlingen station, keep left and at the T-junction at the end of the street Am Bahnhof we turn left again. We cross the level crossing and the main road (central reservation on the left!), then continue straight ahead into Buchauerstraße, which rises gently, first turns left, then right and is finally closed to traffic. 200 m further on, we follow the path to the left to the country road, cross it and walk parallel to it to the left. After just under 200 m, we turn right in front of the tree nursery and then left at the first opportunity after approx. 5 minutes. At about 5-minute intervals, the field path turns right, left and right. From here, the path runs parallel to the country road and ends after approx. 10 minutes in Göffingen. We take the sidewalk around the bend to the right and soon follow Schloßstraße to the left.
