The Böhler, crossing between Unterkulm and Schöftland, is located at 612 meters. The route leads southwards, passing the Hohliebe with its large boulder. This stone was transported over a distance of more than 100 km during the penultimate Ice Age, about 150,000 years ago, by a side arm of the Reuss Glacier from today's Alpine foothills. After about three kilometers, you cross the connecting road between Oberkulm and Schlossrued at Pfaffenberg (rest area). From there, you reach the hamlets of Waltersholz and Steinig, pass the clinic in Hasel on the left, and arrive at the stage destination Bründlichrüz (712 m).
