Along the Reither Ache, the route goes through forests and meadows up to the Rettenberg. Along the way, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the striking Kaisergebirge and the picturesque grassy mountains of Kitzbühel.

Our hike takes us through the hilly and varied valley landscape of the Reither Ache and through the "Bichlach" around the village of Reith near Kitzbühel. The idyllic Reith is often referred to as "the little neighbor of Kitzbühel" and is especially praised for its beautiful location in the green. Summer and winter alike, the village invites you to outdoor activities. The village originated from an old clearing site and was first mentioned in documents as "ruote" around 1190. Reith once belonged to the lordship of the Berchtesgaden monastery, and from the 15th to the 18th century, silver and copper were mined at the Rerobichl and Astberg. Especially worth seeing is the parish church "Zum Heiligen Ägidius," which we pass at the beginning of our hike.
