Roadbook
The route starts in Bad Rodach at the Rückert monument opposite the herb garden on the town wall. From there, the noteworthy hunting castle, which also houses the guest information of the town of Bad Rodach, is not far away.
You head in the direction of Lempertshausen, where at the junction you turn right toward Reithebene. Passing the outlying farms, you hike into the northern forest area, the Reithebene, and into the area of the deserted village of Gellnhausen. There you turn right towards the Waldbühne Heldritt with its covered spectator stand. Here, amateur actors together with professional artists delight visitors with comedy, fairy tales for children, and the Coburg summer operetta (playing season: June, July, August).
Later you arrive in the village with its charming village square and a place to eat directly at the square. The Nikolaus church and a romantic castle are the sights of this lovely village. Through the romantic Mühlbach valley, the "Heldritter Schweiz", where you have to turn right at the Dam mill, you hike to the Protestant community center of Bad Rodach, through the Park der Generationen and shortly after that the herb garden is reached again. At the historic marketplace, cafés and restaurants invite you to a well-deserved rest.
