The route begins at the pass height of Raten. Following the signposting to the right towards Oberägeri, it first descends gently over an open meadow into the forest. Along the Raten trail, information boards with exciting images and text material provide information about forest and wildlife, hunting and tradition, pilgrims and rafters. Shortly after leaving the forest, there is a beautiful view of the Ägerisee. Now the path ascends and leads over meadows and through a short forest area to the Alpwirtschaft St. Jost. The restaurant with the cozy chapel and a rest area with a large playground offers families everything to spend pleasant hours on the beautiful mountain meadow. Then, gently descending through the forest, the hike on the Alpine panorama trail leads back to the starting point of the route.
