Without a doubt, the Raschötz high-altitude trail, this famous promenade on the sunny side of the Gröden Valley, is one of the heavily frequented crossings of the Western Dolomites. But those who are not put off by crowds of people will experience delightful hours here. Or does the view from the Broglealm into the north faces of the Geisler group in the Alps have an equivalent?
From the valley station of St. Ulrich, take the Raschötz funicular up to the mountain station. From there, on a wide path briefly westwards to the fork. Keeping right (trail no. 35), through the open stone pine forest eastwards uphill to the Cason-Saltnerhütte, 2111 m, and over meadows further to a scenic shoulder (bench, crucifix). Then to the left into the eastern flank of the mountain, and there downhill in a northerly direction. Before the Flitzer saddle, turn right into the southern flank of the Inner Raschötz and there through stone pine forest and over mountain pastures eastwards uphill to the left junction of trail no. 31. Straight ahead on a wide path (no. 35), crossing the grassy southern flanks of the Inner Raschötz, eastwards to the Broglessattel, 2119 m.
