Hike to Lake Raneburg
A secluded hike from Berg via the Raneburger Alm.
A steep 500-meter climb through a larch forest. From 1,670 meters, the trail levels off somewhat and the first alpine pasture sections begin; from 1,820 meters, the trail runs continuously through alpine pastures.
CAUTION: Raneburger Alm at approx. 1,960 m: Go around the alpine hut on the southeastern bend. It has been re-marked, but the trail is not yet firmly established.
The trail continues at a moderate incline across beautiful alpine meadows until, after crossing a river at 2,100 m, it turns onto the hillside. A final steep ascent of 180 hm follows, leading to Raneburger Lake and the lake cross. Beautifully situated, the surrounding meadows and two benches invite you to take a break.
