Rånåkollen is a characteristic mountain in the middle of the valley at Bjorli and a popular destination among hikers. It’s a steep but short hike up, and the reward is a spectacular 360-degree view.

The trail to Rånåkollen is well-marked. Please follow the markings and show consideration by walking along the edges of the fields and by closing the gates behind you.
Enjoy the fantastic view from the top. You’ll see Reinheimen National Park with Tafjordfjella Mountains and Romsdalen landscape protection area to the south and west. To the north is Bjorli, and in the east, you’ll see further down Lesja Valley towards Lesjaskog.
Directions
Turn off Road 136 about 1.3 kilometers east of Bjorli, towards Rånå. Drive along Rånåvegen Road for about 3 kilometers and park your car by the old Rånå school at your right-hand side.
If the car park is full, continue straight ahead for about 1.5 kilometers. Here you’ll find a large car park with a parking fee. Hike back along Rånåvegen Road until you reach the signposted trailhead to Rånåkollen by the Haugengardane farms.
