The mausoleum of the Freiherren von Klingerstorff towering above the valley, the ruin of Kollmitz protected by a mighty wall, and the varied »Historian’s Path« along the Thaya riverbank are the highlights of the tour.
From the town square of Raabs through Drosendorfer Straße eastwards to a fork and right, past stately villas, to the end of the dust-free road. Along promenade trail no. 630 between the Thaya riverbank and a rock face, later in the shade of huge deciduous trees to the south, then east to the river bend at Jungfernstein. After the Bruckgraben along a cart path southeastwards up to the plateau. There over fields to the junction at the old oak and straight on into the hamlet Kollmitzdörfl, 489 m. On the road merging from the north through the village and right to the junction at the village edge. Keeping right on a farm track to the southern edge of a field surrounded by forest on three sides. There leftwards (east) uphill along a cart path to the Klinger Mausoleum on the cliff edge above the Thaya, 520 m. View into the Thaya valley with the ruins of Kollmitz.From the southwest corner of the mentioned field down south along a cart path to a natural road, then left on it to the defense
