R9 - Biraurunde / Start and finish in Rainbach im Mühlkreis
The Biraurunde leads from Rainbach towards Hörschlag (view of the Sternstein) into the Birau. The Birau is a beautiful forest area through which the horse railway path runs. Adjoining the Birau, sometimes also spelled Pirau, is Summerau with the terminus of the Summerauerbahn railway.
Since the path through the Birau is a narrow path, the round can only be managed with a slight deviation on forest roads when using a stroller.

Tips and suggestions
The hiking trail has changed in two places compared to the maps. In the Birau, there is now an underpass of the Summerauerbahn; the railway crossing has been removed.
In Summerau, a new sawmill has been built, so the path is no longer available there.
