Short (1h) but exhausting hike to the staffed Purtscheller House. The "German" path leads from Mitterbergkopf at first over countless wooden steps upwards. The last third then moderately steep over mountain path.

The ascent via the German side (stairs) is quite strenuous but manageable, for the return journey the alternative descent on the Austrian side is recommended.
