The town of Sestri Levante stretches over a narrow peninsula in the Mediterranean Sea. Surrounded by the two bays Baia del Silenzio and Baia delle Favole, it is rich in sandy beaches, but also the old town is worth seeing. Especially impressive, however, is the view of the peninsula from afar, which we can enjoy on this hike to Punta Manara. Punta Manara is a peninsula on the Gulf of Tigullio with protected natural landscape, steep cliffs to the sea, and great views over the Ligurian coast. Besides the viewpoint, we can also see military buildings from the Second World War and the ruin of the “Torre saracena,” an old watchtower.
