We continue hiking on the left forest path (towards Oberschlettenbach), later returning to this point via the right path. After another 10 minutes of walking through a beautiful beech forest, the path to the Puhlstein branches off to the right, which we now follow without alternative.
The summit area of the Puhlstein (sometimes also called Buhlstein) consists of a rock ridge about 500 m long and is truly worth seeing. One Puntsandstein rock follows another. At its northern and southern ends, there are two viewpoints. The southern viewpoint with the Puhlstein pillar is completely safe to access from the mountain side and is secured. It is by far the nicer of the two and offers a truly magnificent view.
While we have so far followed the path on the west side of the Puhlstein, the descent now takes place via a steep serpentine path on the east side of the mountain. After reaching a somewhat wider forest road, we turn briefly to the right, then immediately left, down a path to a second forest road.
UFFBASSE! - Campaign for respectful coexistence in nature
Always behave considerately, friendly and thoughtfully towards everyone you meet on the way.
Respect nature, do not destroy plants and always stay on the paths.
Remember to take a rubbish bag for the way and take your waste back home with you.
Please always keep your dog on a leash. Other visitors and animals will thank you.
For your own safety, observe all path closures. Also on weekends.
Only park in designated parking spaces. Leave room for rescue routes and agricultural machinery.
Give priority to agricultural and forestry traffic.

Safety information
Especially in autumn, attention should be paid to the fact that fallen leaves on the ground can cover unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or rainstorms, trees may still fall or branches may fall afterwards. Particularly in adverse weather conditions, natural paths can be muddy and slippery. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is required in places. You must expect these kinds of path impairments if you undertake a hike. If you believe certain path sections are impassable for you, you should avoid them. Despite the "unmistakable" marking of premium hiking trails, we recommend always carrying a suitable hiking map for safety reasons, so that you can quickly find a safe area, for example, in a thunderstorm or emergency.
NOTE:
We strive to announce all closures caused by forestry work or hunting societies on this platform. Nevertheless, there are situations where hiking trails are closed and we may not have been informed. If you encounter closures or detours on-site, please observe the instructions for your own safety.

From the Hexenplätzel parking lot, located between two clubhouse buildings, you reach a small hill in the forest in 10 minutes via a paved service road, where two paths branch off to the left. We continue hiking on the left forest path (towards Oberschlettenbach), later returning to this point via the right path. After another 10 minutes of walking through a beautiful beech forest, the path to the Puhlstein branches off to the right, which we now follow without alternative.

After reaching a somewhat wider forest road, we turn briefly to the right, then immediately left, down a path to a second forest road. It continues slightly downhill until a forest road bends widely to the right and almost flat, always around the right side of the Puhlstein, leading back to our starting point.
