The plateau mountain range of the Puez group is perfect for extensive ventures, and it is surprising how new route variations keep appearing in the seemingly familiar terrain. This round trip over the barren moon landscape of the southern Puez high plateau (Crespeina Plateau) offers high alpine impressions. Passing the heavily frequented Puez hut, the route leads into the wild rock basin of the inner Val Scura and over the Songhers charte back into the Edelweiß valley, where experienced hikers can "take" the daring rock obelisk of Sass Songher.
From the town center of Kolfuschg, take the Grödner-Joch street 1.5 km southwest uphill to the Hotel Luianta, then turn left to the nearby valley station (1663 m) of the two-part Plans-Frara cable car and ascend (operation daily between June 15/20 and September 25/30 from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm) to the mountain station at 2222 m, located next to the Jimmy hut south below the Cirjoch. Follow path no. 2 (Dolomites High Route No. 2) steeply up northeast through rocky terrain, later through rock blocks and over scree to the Cirjoch at 2469 m. Beyond, descend a bit towards the rocky Chedultal, then steeply right (east) up to the Crespeinajoch at 2528 m. Descend northeast to a meadow area (below it to the left is the charming Crespeinasee lake at 2374 m), then up and down over the grass-covered southern Puez high plateau heading northeast to the Ciampaijoch (also Ciampàcjoch) at 2366 m. On path no. 2, ascend through a rocky gully to the northern Puez plateau and over it northwards to the right
