Only the beginning and the end of this route are officially marked. We therefore leave the usual beaten paths to discover a beautiful and easily accessible forest passage.
We start from Provence to the north along a small road that climbs above the village. We leave the marked route at “Bas de la Joux” to continue climbing in the forest but now heading east.
Throughout our walk we will follow forest roads free from any traffic. At the place called “Les Bendites”, above “La Prise-Pernet”, we pass by an old refuge unfortunately in poor condition (photos 123-124). A pity because it is the only place with benches!
From the Bevaix forest, at 860 meters, we take back the marked trail descending from the Montagne de Boudry to join the plain by a regular slope. We emerge directly opposite the Bevaix shooting range. The station is only a few minutes away from there.
