Prigglitz - Pfarra - Gasteil - Art in the Landscape

From Prigglitz bus stop school, first steeply downhill between the school and fire station, past the playground along a narrow path by the creek and past the sports field. Then we walk on the road towards Gloggnitz for about 1 km. At the chapel, we turn onto the paved farm road Pfarra, which we follow to the plague column. Views of the Bucklige Welt, towards Semmering and Rax as well as to Prigglitz reward the short ascent. Now the path towards Gasteil turns into a wide gravel road leading through a forest. We stay uphill on this path and look down into the Fliedergraben and towards Rax, Prigglitz, and the Rote Wand. We reach another paved farm road and turn left, continuing towards Gasteil. From this ridge called Wegscheide, we look towards Gösing and Hohe Wand. The path continues to Gasteil, gently rising again until we reach the state road. Keeping left, towards Prigglitz, we reach Gut Gasteil with many sculptures in the meadows. Remarkable are the Stations of the Cross chapel and the cult site facing each other on the road. A very short section further along the state road towards Prigglitz leads to the signpost that takes us back to Prigglitz along the Stations of the Cross.
