Prätschli Arosa - Ochsenalp - Tschiertschen
Before the upper Prätschsee, a narrow path branches off, which leads over the sandy grounds and then past the Scheideggsee. Immediately after, we have already reached the highest point of the hike, and from now on it only goes downhill.
Enjoy the magnificent view of the lower Schanfigg. The Ochsenalp at 1933 m above sea level offers the ideal opportunity for a break. This alp is staffed in summer and is also a very popular meeting point for bikers.
Through the bright larch and spruce forest, we descend steadily, and the path repeatedly reveals surprising views into the valley. Shortly after the "Gatter," we come to perhaps the most beautiful section of the path with the distinctive Güdaspitz in view. At the "Löser" information board, we cross the wild Urdenbach, which can swell threateningly during thunderstorms and carries large amounts of debris. The path now leads relatively flatly through the Bleiswald, before losing around 200 meters of elevation again shortly before Tschiertschen. The village of Tschiertschen is situated at 1,343 m above sea level and offers the tired hiker various dining options to pass the waiting time for the next post bus to Chur. From Chur, the Rhaetian Railway then takes you back to Arosa.
