The starting point for the circular hike is the Baroque minster in the center of Zwiefalten. Behind it stretches the park of the minster clinic, through which our path goes past the rental hall up to the elevated outdoor pool. On the adjacent recreational area Galgenberg, there is an idyllically situated barbecue area.
It continues past Bühlhof. We are now on the Prälatenweg, which was formerly used by the abbots on their way to their summer residence at Mochental Castle. Here we enjoy the view into the valley and towards the sacred mountain of Upper Swabia, "the Bussen," in the south. Then it goes over Emerberg; 30 meters after the wayside shrine, it goes down to the right to the Peterskapelle. The Peterskapelle is a former plague chapel, built by a family from Baach in thanks for being spared from the plague.
In good visibility, from the bench next to the hiking fountain, we can enjoy a view of the Alps. Through Baach, our route leads past the famous Marienbrunnen and the Baach bakehouse towards the cyclists' hostel. From here we return to Zwiefalten.
