The walking distance between the Sun at the Town Hall and the dwarf planet Pluto at the Gablonzer House is about 5.3 kilometers. With a bicycle, including stops at the steles, about one hour should be planned, and about two hours for the walk on foot. This is not long when you consider the scale used of 1:1.1 billion and the distance you cover in the solar system with each step.
The glass plates on the ten steles along the path contain the most important information about the celestial bodies. The Sun is depicted as a hemisphere next to its stele. On the other steles, the respective planet is engraved, colored red, and represents the size ratio to the Sun.

Safety information
Use of the bike/hiking trails is at your own risk. You are "in nature" and must therefore expect natural risks, especially dangers from trees (e.g., breaking branches).
Please check the weather forecast and existing conditions before starting your stage. Use of the bike/hiking trails immediately before, during, and after severe weather events (thunderstorms, strong winds, storms, and extreme snowfall or heavy snow load) is strongly discouraged.

The walk through our solar system begins at the Sun next to the main entrance of the Town Hall "Am Graben." From there, the path leads past Mercury on the wall of the Silbernagel House, then past the traffic light at the Spittelmühl crossing to Venus, our morning and evening star.
After crossing Neugablonzer Street, you reach our home planet Earth in front of the Jakob Brucker Gymnasium. In front of the Jörg Lederer Middle School, you'll find the red planet Mars. The Planet Trail then leads you along Neugablonzer Street to Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system. Next is Saturn at the Wertach Bridge, which with its rings is the most beautiful object in the solar system.
You can cross Neugablonzer Street at the traffic light behind the Alte Poststraße junction. Follow the steps down along the right edge of the slope towards Neugablonz, past the former water tank to the park at Marienberger Weg. There in the orchard stands the stele of the ice giant Uranus.
From the further hiking path, you reach the planet Neptune at the House of Industry on Neue Zeile, the eighth and last planet in the solar system. From there, you reach your destination at the Gablonzer House, the dwarf planet Pluto in the center of the Neugablonz district.
