Pizzo Leone is a great lookout mountain above Lago Maggiore and high above the Centovalli. As the little brother of Gridone, it does not have to hide with its 360° panoramic view. The high-altitude hike first passes the Alpe Naccio and point 1499 – with a summit cross but without a proper name – before going over the ridge to Pizzo Leone. The path winds over large stones and rocks, across grass areas, and finally up to the summit. Throughout the entire hike, we have Lago Maggiore in view.
