The ultimate challenge of the PIUT starts in Galtür and runs over 30 km and 1540 meters of elevation on the northwestern side of the valley to Ischgl. Based on stage 5 of the Paznaun high trail, the route leads past the Zeinissee to the Friedrichshafener hut. There, a high alpine loop is run, followed by the descent to Mathon. Due to its high alpine nature, this skyrace should not be underestimated despite the comparatively low number of kilometers and is designed for experienced runners.
