The Pirminius Hall of the monastery town Hornbach is the starting point of our hike. The path leads up to the forest edge of Burgerhöhe, from where we have a wonderful view of the monastery town Hornbach. We walk on forest paths in the Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve. Along the way, we have a splendid view of the villages in the Saarland 'Parr'. From the "Vosges View" hill above Brenschelbach, there is a panoramic view of the Vosges and the Lorraine plateau. We follow the ridge to the forest edge and reach the Becherbacher pond via the forest path. A rest area invites you to linger at this idyllic spot. The path then leads uphill to the Gimpelwald hut. From here, a path leads downhill and we return to the starting point of our wonderful hike.
