Pine Forest

From the Schlatt bus stop, a well-developed, gently ascending hiking trail first crosses open meadows and then enters the forest. Just before point 660, near Höferberg, you exit the forest. An open plateau in the Äbnet area with lush meadows and farmland opens up. The hiking trail continues through this area on a paved road, which is rarely used and serves as an agricultural access road. Straight ahead, you enter the pine forest and, after about 100 m, on the right side, you will find a handsome hunting lodge with a well and a fireplace. The facility may be used by everyone; it belongs to the Reiden hunting society. The path continues straight until it reaches an agriculturally used clearing. Follow the hiking trail towards Ehag and further to point 633. On the left, there is a beautiful view of the Lutertal along the way. The very varied hiking trail goes over roots and stones and occasionally also over steps. After a short hike, you can then see far into the Wiggertal. Gradually, the path winds northwards. You have a distant view of the village of Reiden and the commandery ahead, extending far into the Jura. However, before descending into the village of Reiden, it is worth walking a few meters towards "Kreuz" and enjoying the great view there.

This hike is only recommended in dry weather. Parts of the route go over steps and narrow footpaths.

The return journey is by regional bus (line 8), Reiden - Zofingen.
