Pfaffenkogel 734m

From Stübing/Kleinstübing train station, about 200m along the road towards the "Open-Air Museum Stübing." After the bridge over the Stübingbach, turn right onto the "forest path" following the signs and marking for trail no. 11 (GUWc) through the small settlement. After a few meters, turn left. Now ascend steeply on a overgrown forest road with switchbacks. The forest road soon turns into a nicely constructed hiking path. After about 3/4 hour, we reach the ridge. A detour to the climbing summit with cross is possible here. We then follow another forest road along the ridge. Pay attention to marked trail junctions. The highest point, Pfaffenkogel 734m, is wooded. We follow the marked hiking path steeply down briefly, then again over overgrown forest roads with some short uphill sections and reach after about 2 hours the paved Enzenbach-Stübing road. About 200m keep right; after the farm, turn right downhill, trail number 562. Watch for trail traces, the signs may be incorrectly placed. After the pasture area, we find another marking; we are in the wooded area descending towards the Stübingbach. The marking becomes weaker here; watch carefully at trail junctions. Soon we reach the valley floor Dielach. Keeping right, we reach our starting point Stübing again in about 1 hour.
