Short cozy after work route on two adjacent forest peaks.
From the farm, the path first runs along a clearing at the forest edge upwards. At the end of the clearing, it then goes into the forest, with sparse signposting present. A short steep forest section leads further upwards and finally merges into a forest road. Follow this forest road until a fork. At the fork, keep left until you pass a small hut. Here, the path continues straight ahead. The following forest section is mostly pathless, especially because of heavy damage caused by storms. However, despite the damage, you can recognize a rise in the forest where the summit cross of the Eiskogel is located. From there, you have a wide view into the Salzkammergut mountains, on clear days up to the Dachstein.
The path continues through the forest, this time downhill. Passing the small Ederbild, and then uphill again. The Pernecker Kogel is reached. There is no spectacular view here, but a nice simple wooden cross in the middle of the forest.
The return can then be either on the same path as the outward route, or shortly after the Ederbild, instead of returning to the Eiskogel, you can take the forest road and continue along its course.
