Varied circular hiking route passes eight stations with a panorama board. Dreamlike views.
Freiamt - A bit closer to heaven
The Freiamt panoramic hiking route leads you past eight stations with dreamlike views from the valleys of the Black Forest over the Vosges to the Swiss and French Jura.
Route marking
The path is 10.1 km long and is marked by the diamonds of the Black Forest Association. On the first section from the hiking car park Bildstein to the signpost "Am Felsen" follow the red diamond of the long-distance hiking trail "Kandelhöhenweg".
Then the yellow diamond (as a sign for local hiking trails) serves as your guide. Please note that at panorama board 4 you have to walk back to the signpost "Am Felsen" and then go left over the meadow to the signpost "Holzstein". At the signpost locations of the Black Forest Association, you will also find the route sign of the panoramic hiking trail, which shows you the direction.
Refreshments on the way
Along the route, several beautiful resting places with benches and tables invite you to picnic and linger. At the "s`Menche Durschd-Lösch-Platz" (at Menchehof, Schillingerbergstraße 18) you can buy cold drinks.

You can reach the car park coming from the district "Brettental" by turning right into Bildsteinstraße at the intersection Hünersedelstraße/Bildsteinstraße, passing the hiking car park Brettental and following the narrow Bildsteinstraße to the end.
At the top, there is the hiking car park with a signpost showing you the possible hiking destinations.
