The two-day Panorama Trail lives up to its name and also offers an exceptionally high biodiversity: It leads through subtropical Colchis forest, mixed and coniferous forest, interspersed with flower-covered meadows and past rugged rocks that reveal themselves as small rock gardens upon a second glance. When in the evening you hear the bears roar in the valley by the campfire, you are glad that you will not come as close to them as to the ancestors of our domestic goat, the wild goats in the bezoar goat enclosure at the start of the hike.
Stage 2: Amarati Tourist Shelter – Atskuri Station via Ochivari Range 7 hrs, 17.5 km, 780 m ascent and 1745 m descent We walk back to the lower shepherd's hut and turn left before it to the northeast; on the path, after 150 m, we pass an old watering place for cattle. On the short, steep ascent back to the ridge, we keep right and reach an information board after about 15 minutes at 2095 m. Here the paths split; the red-white trail on the left leads in two days to Marelisi, we follow the blue-white markings from here and walk right down the meadow slightly towards the northeast. The trail leads us with wonderful panoramas alternately through birch forest and meadows along the northern end of the valley. After 1 hour, we reach a particularly beautiful viewpoint at 2105 m. We continue south slightly downhill. Fallen trees repeatedly block the path. After 250 meters, it goes slightly uphill again.
