The path leads with a magnificent view opposite the rock chain to the waterfall in the Kirnitzsch Valley.
From the parking lot at the Elbkai in Bad Schandau, the trail goes straight along Königsteiner Straße, following Marktstraße, to the southern valley slope. Here begins the marking "yellow dot" of the Panorama Trail. It goes steeply up stairs and steel stairs to the Schlossbastei, slightly to the right of the path. The Schlossbastei, the "balcony of Bad Schandau," was once a restaurant and was demolished in the 1970s - an irreplaceable loss. The castle ruin, a romantic reconstruction from the 19th century, offers a beautiful panoramic view. Continue to the Kiefricht. Through the garden colony, the path leads to a parking lot. Now we meet the actual Panorama Trail, which is followed a little below the Hohe Straße to the right.
