The route initially leads over Klosterstraße through the park grounds of the former monastery with the baroque church and the also baroque building of the "New Monastery." The designation "New Monastery" refers to the baroque new construction of the monastery complex after 1752, with its light-flooded rococo library hall in the northern convent building. It is considered the most spectacular part of the monastery buildings. On two floors are the enclosed bookcases.
Passing the St. Martin cemetery, the village of Olzreute is reached. The route continues to the hamlet of Lauhaus. There, you turn right uphill to the viewpoint "Blasius Erler Bench." In clear visibility, you have a breathtaking view from here over Lake Olzreuter to the entire Alpine range from Zugspitze to Säntis. The further path over the hills of the terminal moraine also offers some fascinating views. On the panoramic board above Kleinwinnaden, the Alpine peaks can be easily identified. The signpost leads to the wild-romantic source of the Schussen - there is an opportunity to rest at the barbecue area. Along the Schussen and finally through the glacier garden with its impressive erratic boulders, the starting point is reached again.
