We admire the Barbarine rock pinnacle. Afterwards, we conquer Königstein Fortress.
Depending on the accommodation location in Gohrisch, we meet our "M" on Pfaffendorfer Straße at Alten Schulweg. Now it goes downhill to Pfaffendorf and through the eye of the needle onto the Pfaffenstein. On the Pfaffenstein, besides the Barbarine and inn, we find a lot of history. The viewing tower is worth it because of the beautiful panoramic view. On the "Klammweg" we leave the table mountain towards "Quirl." Above the village of Pfaffendorf we descend to Königstein. Through the historic center, we reach Latzweg at the church, which leads steeply upwards to Königstein Fortress. For the visit of one of Germany's largest fortress complexes, you should allow enough time. The view of Lilienstein and the town are among the highlights of the Painter’s Path.The descent via Kanonenweg to Thürmsdorf passes the castle to the Mausoleum.
