From the wild romantic Kirnitzsch valley over the highest mountain to Schmilka at the Czech border.
From the Neumann Mill upstream past the Busch Mill, the Painter's Path (»M«) leads us uphill to the Arnstein. I recommend: the beautiful view from the Arnstein; remains of a robber knight's lookout and a cistern are located on the summit. At the foot of the rock, we follow our »M« to the Kleinstein. The painters liked to be inspired by the Kleinstein cave. The path leads to the road and the Saubsdorfer Dorfbach valley to the Räumicht Mill. Shortly before, we turn right into the mill ravines. Through these, we reach the Great Pohlshorn. A steep descent into the Kirnitzsch valley is followed by the ascent to the E-wing. At Zschandstraße is the pub Zeughaus. The forestry estate was used in old times for storing royal hunting equipment. On the Roßsteig we first go steeply, then somewhat flatter to the highest point of the Painter's Path, the 556-meter high Great Winterberg.
