A wonderful walking path, suitable for a short family walk where you experience close contact with the Soča River and enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding hills and mountains.
An easy circular hiking trail, physically undemanding and suitable for all generations and in all seasons. Perfect for those who want a little peace while walking beside the river and to complete a circle with views of the Tolmin-Bohinj mountains. It is also an ideal environment for easy running, as the path mostly follows flat forest and road terrain.

Tips and suggestions
A little ahead from the church of St. Daniel, you can join the Peace Path, which will lead you over World War I relics all the way to the Church of the Name of Mary on Mengore, or you can connect at the foot of Bučenica to the circular path Po Bučenici.
You can also reach the starting point of the Čez Gabrce circular path on foot from Tolmin by following the 27th stage of the Alpe-Adria Trail and the 17th stage of the Juliana Trail. This extends the path by four kilometers and adds an extra hour of walking.
Roadbook
From beneath the Volčanski bridge, we initially follow a wide path along the right bank of the Soča River, cross a torrent bed, and continue for about a kilometer on a marked path right next to the Soča. Signposts guide us left through a small forest, across a meadow, and through an underpass beneath the regional road Nova Gorica-Bovec. We turn left and steadily ascend a forest trail that leads us to Gabrce, onto flat and open terrain. Along a forest road, we have about a 10-minute walk to a local road, where we turn right and follow signposts through the village of Volče. In the center of the village, it is necessary to carefully cross the regional road Nova Gorica-Bovec, then follow a narrow paved path and signposts past the church of St. Daniel back to the starting point.
