At the hamlet Slavići, the path briefly leaves the forest and now offers a wonderful view of the Kvarner Bay. The small place with its few houses is passed at the lower edge until you find the access to an unmarked path downwards towards the west. The access is somewhat difficult because currently a major construction site makes the situation confusing. The path begins immediately at the lower edge of the construction site and leads downhill into the forest. Initially, the route is clear; later, you find junctions where you have to decide on a route option or check the GPS track. The marked hiking trail to Poljane is crossed. If you maintain a southern direction, you soon reach the elevated new buildings of Ičići. The path down to the coast leads over many stairs and steep streets. Particularly notable is the straight stairway connection Put za Veprinac, which seems to be a historical pedestrian connection from Veprinac to the coast. Unfortunately, it is no longer continuously preserved.
In the coastal town of Ičići, you encounter the beach promenade Lungomare, formerly Franz Joseph Promenade, which leads back to Opatija.
