On the Priendamm

The starting point of the route is at the train station in Aschau. From there, walk to the roundabout and leave it onto Wiesengrundstraße (first exit and immediately turn left again). After about a hundred meters, you will find a small path opposite Gartenweg; follow it. You will now find yourself on the Priendamm, which invites you to a pleasant walk. Leave the houses behind and walk through a wooded section of the dam. After leaving the woods, you will come to a bridge that crosses the Prien. Passing the Marien Chapel / Fischer Chapel, follow the field path back towards Aschau. You will enter the residential area Enngerndorf and continue straight along the road. The cemetery will be on your right; in front of you lies the main street, which you will cross. At the end of Frasdorfer Straße (Heinz Winkler Residence), turn right, then right again in front of the church. You will stand in front of the Catholic Church Aschau „zur Darstellung des Herren“; take the moment to look inside the magnificent interior. Continue onto Leitenweg next to the parish house. When you reach Schulstraße, keep right, pass the playground and shops towards the main street. Turn left to return to the starting point – the train station of Aschau.
