Starting point is the church "Maria Heimsuchung" in Klausen, one of the best-known pilgrimage sites in Rhineland-Palatinate. Passing the pilgrim hostel, turn left onto Wittlicher Straße towards town exit. After the bridge, turn left towards the forest. Up the meadow path and a small bridge into the forest. Past an enclosure, right to a wayside cross and up to Stöppelberg. The forest path ends on an asphalt road leading to Osann. Please be careful crossing the L53 and the bridge! Tip: climb over the guardrail here and continue on the green strip. Stay on Trierer Straße until the memorial stone, then continue on Bernkasteler Straße to the fork. Turn right here onto Moseltalstraße towards Monzel. The Moseltalstraße leads through the wine-growing town of Monzel. There is the opportunity to stop at one of the wonderful wine taverns directly at the vintner. Turn right before the church and uphill into the vineyards.
