About 200 m before the Capella de la Santa Cova, we turn left onto the hiking trail (sign for Sant Miquel). It runs below the chapel and then winds its way up the slopes of the Serra Llarga at a gentle incline, with the sky-reaching rock formations above us and the Llobregat Valley far below. The view looking back stretches over the mountains of Sant Llorenç and Montseny all the way to the Pyrenees. At a trail sign, we meet the GR-172, coming up from Collbató (653 m), and continue to the right, ascending
