Two mountains with ups and downs passing small, partly perforated rock walls. Mostly located in mixed forest, whose brightness due to the leafless trees is well suited for winter hiking. On the descent from the Gsolberg we partly followed the Wiener Alpenbogenweg on 13.2.2018.

    Roadbook

From Scheiblingkirchen first take the hiking trail to Thernberg until the blue marker branching off to the right. Follow this up to the barely visible rocks on the right. On the right side of the rocks, after a short descent, is the Buchbergloch. Return to the marked trail from which, according to the map, you shortly branch off to reach the hut via an unmarked path. From there, go left below the small rock walls to the holes. Then steeply climb up to the right through the forest until you reach a path that leads left to the Ofenberg. Descend briefly on this path again and then keep left descending to the Ofenberg settlement. In the ravine from the valley floor, follow to the right a clearly visible, steepening forest path lined with fruit trees leading up to a forest road, from the summit of which a path branches off to the Gsolberg. Go over the Gsolberg and descend without a trail into the next ravine to the forest road. Now follow this forest road and some arbitrarily taken side paths down to Thernberg. To avoid going back up to the Erzherzog-J.-Weg from the Thaler inn, we first walked on the road, then after a few hundred meters crossed a grassy ridge to return and from there back to Scheiblingkirchen.
