There is hardly a faster way to reach a scenic and marked summit than the Ödberg in the Hausruck region. Even though the short walk is not very spectacular, the view from the summit into the mountains is absolutely worthwhile - the entire upper Austrian northern Alpine ridge lies stretched out on the horizon.
Already at the parking lot, the wooden sign "Zum Gipfelkreuz" points the way to the summit. After about 6 minutes and a steeper ascent, the summit is reached, which is very lovingly designed with a seating area and a wooden cross. It is worthwhile to walk a few more meters on the summit plateau towards the south, as from here you get a very rewarding view of the mountains.
