From the Giebelhaus in the Hintersteiner Tal (1060 m), we hike on a paved alpine path up to the Engeratsgundalpe (1156 m) and the Sennalpe Laufbichl (1200 m), from there continuing to our "day’s destination", the Alpe Plättele (1350 m). All the alps are managed during the main season. From here, we hike back the same way to the Giebelhaus. This is a leisurely route also suitable for hikers without much alpine experience. The total distance of just under 8 km is also manageable for children.

Starting from the Giebelhaus in the Hintersteiner Tal (1060 m), we hike on a paved alpine path up to the Engeratsgund-Alpe (1156 m) and the Sennalpe Laufbichel (1200 m), from there continuing to a loop in the path shortly before the Untere Wengen Alpe; forks in the path can be ignored. After a right turn and before the path turns right again, a small trail branches off to the left, winding uphill a bit further to the Plättele-Alpe. During a snack break, we enjoy the beautiful view into the Obertal and then hike back on the familiar path past the Sennalpe Laufbichel to the Giebelhaus.
